We are the world's leading source of RFPs, LEADS, and News in the Cultural and Attractions market sectors.

RFPs is used generically to include RFQs, EOIs, ITBs etc. These come typically from the public sectors: Federal, State or local government.
LEADS relate to future projects being planned, proposed or discussed. These typically come from the private or non-profit or institutional sectors.

We email a "Daily bulletin" to our clients.
It lists all the RFPs, LEADS, and News that our research team has found since the last Daily bulletin was sent.
We average between 55-95+ new postings per day.
Each posting is linked to a detailed description within the website. The information in each posting is carefully curated by a research staff member.
All postings are archived and easily searched.

Each month we post more than 1400 RFPs, Leads and News items.
Each RFP is screened to match the business profile of at least one of our clients.
In August 2024, over seventieth year of business we posted our 218,000th business opportunity.

CULTURE includes the following: every kind of museum you can imagine from small historic houses to large history, science or children’s museums, nature centers, and everything in between; performing arts centers, theaters, art galleries, libraries, courthouses, churches, community centres, recreation centres, university sports venues, schools, universities or colleges, technology centres, campus planning, streetscapes, waterfronts, riverfronts, convention centers, urban planning etc.

ATTRACTIONS includes: visitors centers, gardens, arboretums, botanical gardens, parks, zoos, aquaria, planetaria, water play parks, casinos, sports stadiums, arenas, theme parks and hotels and resorts associated with these destinations, pavilions, expos, etc.

All this information is automatically archived on our website and can be easily managed and searched using a powerful new search engine we have developed for this purpose.

HOW WE FILTER FOR RFPs, LEADS, AND NEWS ITEMS IN RFP-LEADS SOURCE

Each day, our research team searches for postings in hundreds of sources.

These criteria guide our selection process.

RFPs

These postings are typically issued by cultural or attractions clients and for the most part come from the public sector: federal, state/provincial/or local government sources.

But we don't publish all the cultural or attractions postings we find. Only those which are relevant to the products or services which our clients typically provide.

The list of products and services displayed on Talent Pool Expo (right sidebar on our Home Page) is our guiding light. Please note that when there is no number beside the product or service it means there is just one firm listed.

So if a major museum is looking for a firm to add new gutters to a roofing system, we don’'t post it. We have no clients who do this. How do we know? We check the RFP against the TPE list of products and services.

Some RFPs contain broad scope of works such as a city-wide plan. Clearly some of the work will not be appropriate but given the general nature of the task it would be reasonable to assume such RFPs would involve: landscape architecture, streetscapes, waterfronts, parks, gardens, even public art. So we would include this RFP based on these reasonable assumptions.

Sometimes an RFP may come from a non-cultural or attractions firm which is looking for products and services related to a cultural or attractions activity. If Coca Cola decided to revamp its visitor center or create a themed factory audio tour of its bottling plant we would post this opportunity. We have clients who do this. But if Coca Cola just wanted new storage systems and shelving for its administrative offices we would not post it, even though we have firms who specialize in storage.

If a waste disposal company wanted signage and wayfinding for its site, we would not post it, even though we have clients who do signage and wayfinding.
Why not? Because there is no cultural or attractions element in either the client or the work the client wants done.

Without this focus, we would have the impossible task of being all things to all people and we would lose our core mission focus of culture and attractions.

Some RFPs we turn into Leads. Example: The museum client is seeking general construction services for a future planned expansion. We don’t currently have any general construction firms as clients so we don’'t publish the posting as an RFP. Instead, we designate this item as a lead, since the museum expansion has the potential for follow-on opportunities of relevance to our clients, such as exhibit design, fabrication etc.

LEADS

Leads are typically from the private sector. Usually they refer to projects that are just starting out or those which have not yet reached the RFP stage. Most private sector clients do not put their RFPs out on the street. These clients send their RFPs directly to firms they have privately pre-qualified. What qualifies as a Lead? Any details of a future cultural or attractions venue, a relocation, or an expansion of an existing venue. Examples of typical Cultural and Attractions venues are described above.

Also, if we learned that Coco Cola was planning a new visitor center, that would also qualify as a lead, because the visitor center itself is deemed to have a cultural value to visitors. Or if a major chain was planning to create themed environments in their restaurants we would see this as having both cultural and attractions value. And we have clients who provide these services.

Please also note that when we identify an opportunity as a Lead it is not necessarily a Lead for all our clients. It depends where you sit within the food chain. Example: A Lead with a title: New Children's Museum Breaks Ground in Seattle is clearly not a Lead for an architect. But it is definitely a Lead for an exhibit design firm.

NEWS

These items are posted when we feel the information is relevant to our client audience. Sometimes we have to be sensitive to the story.
Thus if a hurricane damaged a historic site, we would not call this a lead, even though we have firms which undertake historic restoration and preservation. These firms would see the Lead inside the news story. While you won't find as many News items as you do Leads or RFPs, we don't discount News as a source of opportunity because sometimes a News items is also a Lead.
